    ​Regarding public and media interest in the circumstances concerning compliance with the rules for allocation of court cases in the Labour and Social Security Law Chamber of the Supreme Court, as well as allegations that have been made in public in connection with the identified irregularities, directed against both me and the Supreme Court Judge dr hab. Agnieszka Góra-Błaszczykowska, who is authorised to perform activities related to the organisation and heading of the Labour and Social Security Law Chamber until the President of the Republic of Poland appoints a judge of the Supreme Court, as referred to in Article 15(4) of the Act of 8 December 2017 on the Supreme Court, I present the findings by the SC Judge A. Góra-Błaszczykowska.

    ​In connection with the announcement by the National Prosecutor’s Office of 17 September 2025 regarding the session of the Tribunal of State scheduled for 22 September 2025 on the motion to authorise the criminal prosecution of the President of the Tribunal of State and the intention of the public prosecutor to appear at that session, taking into account that pursuant to Article 20e(2) of the Act of 26 March 1982 on the Tribunal of State (Journal of Laws of 2022, item 762, as amended) the Supreme Court provides office services and secretarial functions for the Tribunal of State, I kindly inform you that the date of the Tribunal of State session set on 3 September 2025 by one of the members of the adjudicating panel scheduled for 22 September 2025 has been cancelled.

    ​In recent days, some Supreme Court judges, including myself, have received a letter from the President of the Polish Judges Association IUSTITIA by e-mail, along with the attached position of the Association’s Management Board, demanding the ‘immediate cessation of judicial activity’. Not for the first time, the Association presents its own and, unfortunately, unreliable interpretation of the rulings of European courts, while attempting to impose its narrative on other entities.
