On 27 February 2026, the General Assembly of Judges of the Supreme Court selected five candidates for the position of First President of the Supreme Court. The following Supreme Court judges were nominated: Zbigniew Kapiński, Mariusz Załucki, Paweł Czubik, Aleksander Stępkowski and Tomasz Demendecki.

Motion of the First President of the Supreme Court for the full composition of the Supreme Court to resolve divergences in the interpretation of law

On 23 February 2026, acting under Article 83(1) of the Act of 8 December 2017 on the Supreme Court (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 622, as amended), the First President of the Supreme Court, dr hab. Małgorzata Manowska, submitted a motion for the full composition of the Supreme Court to resolve divergences in the interpretation of law in the Supreme Court’s jurisprudence.
